I-Cube Pop-Up Shop !

Love to shop but want to do it in a more sustainable way while supporting Nepali startups?

We’re introducing the “Sustainability Series,” a pop-up store for sustainability-minded startups participating in our I-Cube Incubation Program. The pop-up store will help Nepali startups interact with their target market, increase collaboration with other featured startups, and increase their presence and sales. The pop-up store is one-of-a-kind, with young Nepali entrepreneurs showcasing their products, and their commitment towards both entrepreneurship and the environment.

Our goal now is to build a community of people and startups that are working within the domain of sustainability. These past couple of years, we have been working hard to make sure that Nepal’s entrepreneurial ecosystem is alive and thriving, and budding entrepreneurs get the support they need to succeed and grow. Sustainability has to be an important part of this, and our I-Cube entrepreneurs are testing how sustainability can be their value proposition.  Can a business quantify the value of sustainable production, processing, service delivery and packaging? We believe we can!

“We’re all trying to help and contribute to both the economy and the environment in our own unique way,” said Rasana Shrestha of Nuga Essence, an I-Cube startup that makes chemical free personal care products. She said she was excited about the pop-up shop starting, and is looking forward to launching a place where people get to know the companies and their products.

The “Sustainability Series” pop-up store is based out of one of Nepal Communitere’s cargo shipping containers and will feature the following brands:

Antidote, a formal clothing rental service that seeks to combat the perils of fast fashion

Nuga:, chemical free personal care products

Ecoorb, paper made from elephant dung

Sampurna, locally crafted shoes and leather goods

Drop by at Nepal Communitere to check out their products and learn about their sustainable business practices and meet the founders for potential opportunities to collaborate!
