Nepal Communitere is a unique resource in Nepal, a place where experimentation and innovation thrive. Now, on the heels of our massively successful Kathmandu Mini Maker Faire, Nepal Communitere is embarking on the final build-out of our space and launching a crowdfunding campaign to help us get there!

Funds raised in this campaign will be used to complete our Makerspace, Training Hall and co-working spaces. We’re also going to expand and complete our super cool Cargo Café & Bar, a revenue generating endeavor that will put Nepal Communitere on a self-sustaining path. When you donate, you can see exactly how your money will be spent … and you can even designate which project you’d like to support!

You can learn more about our exciting plans and make your donation here. And please follow our progress on Nepal Communitere’s Facebook page and watch for pop-up perks you can claim when you make your donation!

About Nepal Communitere

In April 2015, Nepal suffered the most devastating earthquake seen in over 80 years. With over 9,000 killed, 23,000 injured and untold numbers made homeless, the 7.8 quake and its aftershocks affected the lives, livelihood, shelter, infrastructure and hope of the Nepali people.

Using our proven model for disaster response, relief and renewal, Communitere International deployed to Nepal just after the earthquake. Now, with our team in place on the ground in Nepal, we have designed and built the state-of-the-art Nepal Communitere Resource Center and Innovation Hub modeled after our successful Resource Centers in Haiti and the Philippines.

Communitere is fiscally sponsored by the Omprakash Foundation. The Omprakash Foundation is a tax-exempt non-profit organization registered undersection 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Tax ID# 20-8655418
